Parry Mansion Museum Tours - New Hope Historical Society
Sunday, August 12, 2018
The Parry Mansion owned by the New Hope Historical Society illustrates the rich culture and growth of New Hope. It was built in the late eighteenth century in what
was then Coryell’s Ferry, a small, but famous Revolutionary War village. The mansion is a fine example of Georgian architecture constructed with Bucks County Fieldstone.
Visitors to New Hope and the Parry Mansion Museum will learn of the town’s wealth of history and culture. A tour of Parry’s mansion provides a trip through time from 1775 to 1900 when our young nation withstood the turmoil of the American Revolution, the Industrial Age and the Civil War.
Come to the Parry Mansion Museum, home of the enterprising, inventive, ambitious and wealthy Quaker, Benjamin Parry, and four generations of his illustrious family. The tour includes nine impressive historic rooms evoking five generations of American history. In addition, the museum has one room of rotating exhibitions.
