ZONING AND HISTORIC DISTRICT MAP

New Hope Borough Code of Ordinances

On June 13, 2007 Borough Council adopted a new Code of Ordinances, consolidating all Borough ordinances adopted through December 31, 2006, with the exception of the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). The SALDO is scheduled for updating in 2011 and will be added to the Code at that time.

The Code of Ordinances was updated by Supplement #7, dated February 15, 2011, and incorporates all ordinances adopted by Council through February 15, 2011.

Ordinances adopted after February 15, 2011, which are not included in the Code of Ordinances, are listed below. These ordinances will be added to the Code of Ordinances at the time of the next update in early 2012.

Ordinance No. 2011-04, amends the zoning ordinance to establish an emergency services use in the RC zoning district

Ordinance No. 2011-05, amends the section of the Code of Ordinances prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing, and places of public accommodation.

Ordinance No. 2011-06, amends the Vehicles and Traffic section of the Code of Ordinances.

Ordinance No. 2011-07, amends the police pension plan.

Ordinance No. 2011-08, adopts a schedule of charges, expenses and fees for the collection of municipal claims and liens, and establishes a rate of interest for delinquent claims and liens.

Ordinance No. 2011-09, establishing the real property rates of taxation for 2012.

 

Paper copies of the SALDO, as well as ordinances adopted after February 15, 2011, are available at 123 New Street. In addition, copies of ordinances adopted after February 15, 2011 are available at the Code of Ordinances web site under "Legislation not yet codified."

Zoning and Historic District Map

On November 15, 2006 New Hope Borough Council adopted Ordinance 2006-14, approving a comprehensive amendment to the Borough Zoning Ordinance and map.

Copies of the new Zoning Ordinance and map are available for purchase at 123 New Street at a cost of $40.00. The text of the Zoning Ordinance is available on-line as part of the new Code of Ordinances.
