Council Adopts New Hope Borough Code of Ordinances

On June 13, 2007 Borough Council adopted a new Code of Ordinances, consolidating all Borough ordinances adopted through December 31, 2006, with the exception of the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). The SALDO is scheduled for updating in 2008 and will be added to the Code at that time.

The Code of Ordinances was updated by Supplement #3 on February 15, 2008 and incorporates all ordinances adopted by Council in 2007 through November 14, 2007.

Ordinances adopted after November 14, 2007, which are not included in the Code of Ordinances, are listed below. These ordinances will be added to the Code of Ordinances at the time of the next update in late 2008.

      Ordinance No. 2007-13, establishes the real estate tax levy for 2008

      Ordinance No. 2008-01, approves a 12-year cable franchise agreement with Comcast

     Ordinance No. 2008-02, amends the vehicles and traffic chapter of the Code of Ordinances

Paper copies of the SALDO, as well as ordinances adopted after November 14, 2007, are available at Borough Hall.

ZONING AND HISTORIC DISTRICT MAP

On November 15, 2006 New Hope Borough Council adopted Ordinance 2006-14, approving a comprehensive amendment to the Borough Zoning Ordinance and map.

Copies of the new Zoning Ordinance and map are available for purchase at Borough Hall at a cost of $40.00. The text of the Zoning Ordinance is available on-line as part of the new Code of Ordinances.

The new Zoning Map, which also shows Historic District properties throughout the Borough, is available on-line.
