BOROUGH STAFF
The members of the Borough staff are appointed by Council for indefinite terms and serve at the pleasure of Council.

John Burke is the Borough Manager and Secretary to Borough Council. John is responsible for day to day operations of the Borough, and works closely with the Council President, Vice President and the Borough staff in coordinating a wide variety of projects and programs within the Borough.
Janell Hammond serves as Assistant Borough Manager and Treasurer. Janell is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget reconciliation, grants administration, and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Janell also serves as the Borough's Employee Benefits Administrator and as the Chief Financial Officer for the Borough's pension plans.
JoAnn Connell is an Administrative Assistant, who prepares and archives the minutes of Council, Planning Commission, and Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) public meetings. JoAnn also coordinates public meeting agendas with board members, advertises and posts public notices, and coordinates the zoning, construction, and HARB application process.
Robert Larason is the Borough Zoning Officer, and is responsible for the administration, interpretation and enforcement of the Borough Zoning Ordinance.The Zoning Officer is available on a part-time basis only. Please call 215 862 3347 to make an appointment with the Zoning Officer.
Jesse Hill & Kip Clayton are the Borough's Code Officials, who administer and enforce the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code, including the Fire Code, as well as the Borough's Property Maintenance Code. Their duties include construction plan reviews and inspections. The Code Officials are available on a part-time basis only: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am until 2 pm. Michael Cummings, Chief of Police, is also the Borough's Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC). The EMC prepares the Borough's Emergency Operations Plan, which is designed to mitigate the effects of catastrophic man-made or natural events.
The EMC also coordinates the emergency response to such events and advises the Borough administration and elected officials on the proper actions necessary to safeguard the lives and property of the citizens of the community.
Borough offices are located at 123 New Street, New Hope, PA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Public Works Department

The New Hope Public Works Department is the Borough's public property maintenance unit and is responsible for:
- Maintenance of Borough-owned streets and parking meters
- Street lighting and traffic signal maintenance
- Directional, traffic control and street identification signs on Borough streets
- Traffic striping on Borough and some state roadways
- Snow plowing/ removal and ice control
- Downtown business district litter control
- Sweeping of Borough-owned streets
- Preventive maintenance and repair of Borough vehicles and equipment
- Maintenance and repair of all Borough-owned buildings, open space and parks
Visitors' Center
The New Hope Visitors' Center is located at 1 West Mechanic Street in downtown New Hope and is operated and staffed by the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau. Constructed in 1839, seven years after the town was incorporated, the Visitors' Center served as New Hope's first town hall, school, and jail. The Visitors' Center features access for the disabled, an outdoor garden area, and public restrooms. Center employees assist visitors in obtaining information about the unique shops, stores, restaurants, and lodgings available in the Borough.
